Walk to Havra Sokağı (Synagogue Street), where Jews who migrated from other countries and settled in İzmir lived alongside the Ottoman population. If you’re thinking of traveling to Türkiye in the summer, I have good news. The Turkish coast has beautiful areas, especially those of the Turkish Riviera or Turquoise Coast, where some of the most famous towns are Kas, Fethiye, or Marmaris. Türkiye is a country with a great diversity of landscapes and a rich cultural and historical heritage that makes it very appealing to tourists. The often-overlooked region of southeastern Anatolia is one of Türkiye’s cultural – and culinary – stars. The cities of Gaziantep and Antakya (Hatay) are famed for their food, and both have interesting museums with incredible collections of Roman mosaics uncovered in the area. It’s highly likely that your flight route to Türkiye will take you through Istanbul, so set aside at least a few days to explore this dynamic global metropolis before heading out around the country.

In Istanbul, the equivalent is Havaist (from Istanbul Airport) and Havabüs (from Sabiha Gökçen Airport). Turkey’s extensive intercity bus network is one of the most affordable and practical ways to travel around the country.
